Hi, I'm Grace Riviezzo, a fourth-year student at the University of Georgia. Born and raised on Long Island, I took a chance and headed south to pursue a degree in Special Education and cheer on the Dawgs.

My interest in Special Education began in high school, when I had the opportunity to volunteer with various organizations serving the special education community. Since arriving at UGA, I've expanded my knowledge, from learning how to plan effective pedagogies to gaining hands-on experience in the classroom. Through this site and my blog, I hope to share what I've learned with a wider community, offering insights for those passionate about special education.

Grace Riviezzo has a genuine kindness of heart and spirit that reminds me of a quote by another remarkable young woman, Anne Frank who said; “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” At 21 years old, Grace has already begun to change the world and the world she has made a change in, is the one in which children suffering from cancer wish to be given a piece of their childhood back.

After her graduation, I look forward to seeing where Grace’s talents are put to good use in a community who can use more kind, caring people who commit to making a difference in the lives of special children.
